Our Wilderness Road
Meet the road less traveled…
Getting here is just difficult enough to ensure complete privacy for your stay.
Spectacular Grand Teton views greet guests as you drive through the National Elk Refuge.
Then the road gets rough as you climb on a rocky National Forest Service 4×4 double track through rich pine forest to the ranch.
Because of our bumpy road, we discourage side trips to Jackson during your stay.
You’ll have more than enough to do up here.
Planning Your Trip
Quick tips and general advice for your Jackson Hole vacation
- Fly in a day or two early and leave a day or two after your stay: While Flat Creek Ranch gives a great sampling of what this area is about, you should fully plan on taking advantage of your time here to experience more fun things to do in Jackson Hole. Early arrival also makes it easier to deal with the occasional missed flight or delayed bag since you’ll be somewhere convenient to the airport in the town of Jackson. We’d be glad to recommend places to stay.
- If flying in the day of your arrival to the ranch: Please try to choose one of the many flights that arrive between noon and 4 PM. If you arrive before noon, you may have to wait at the airport until our driver can get down from the ranch. If your flight arrives after 4 PM, we can’t guarantee we can get you to the ranch until the following morning.
- If flying home on the same day you leave the ranch, please try to pick one of the many flights that leave between noon and 4 PM. If you book an early morning flight, we’ll get you there, but you’ll miss breakfast and a morning of activities. If you book a late afternoon flight, we’ll drive you to town after an early lunch and have your bags stored while you check out the town of Jackson for a few hours. Then you’ll have to get to the airport on your own by hiring a taxi.
- If you’re planning to drive to the ranch in your own high-clearance vehicle, ask us to send you detailed driving directions. Our check-in time is 3 PM.
